Suspension
Here at Mr Tyre, our technicians take care of all aspects of car suspension.
Perhaps you’ve noticed more bumps on the road? Or maybe you’ve spotted uneven tyre tread? There can be a few signs of inadequate suspension. To help you get to the bottom of it, our skilled teams diagnose suspension issues and use our years of experience to identify the part that’s causing the issue. With this we can then suggest an affordable solution.
Cars and other vehicles depend on well-functioning front and rear suspension to ensure a smooth, comfortable journey as well as for driving safety. That’s why it’s important that your car suspension and its component parts are performing at their best.
Shock Absorbers
Shock absorbers, also known as dampers, press the wheel firmly into the ground by keeping your tyres in contact with the road by dampening the spring compression and rebound. They can become worn over time, compromising the handling of the vehicle, and so their replacement should be carried out by a qualified professional, something our team are more than happy to assist with.
Coil Springs
Another essential component of suspension are coil springs. A coil spring holds the body weight of a vehicle, and as they become worn, one side can sag more than the other. They are also prone to breaking, especially when worn and when travelling over potholes or speed limiters. A broken coil spring is an automatic MOT failure, so it’s important to get them fixed right away. Our team can identify faulty coil springs and carry out replacement of a new spring.
