Golden Anniversary: Mr Tyre Celebrates 50 Years of Service

Mr Tyre are celebrating a golden anniversary; 50 years in business! The company has been a widely-recognised name across Central England for the past five decades, serving thousands of motorists from our 36 regional branches. 

50 years of service 

Mr Tyre started life in 1971 with a modest premises in Sutton Coldfield. In these humble beginnings, the company focussed solely on the provision of tyres – but quickly gained a reputation for their friendly and professional service. Fast forward to the present day and we sell hundreds of thousands of tyres a year.

From this initial success, Mr Tyre went on to increasingly open more branches across Central England, while also expanding their services and capabilities to include car diagnostics, full servicing and MOT assessments. 

A strong local reputation 

Throughout our long history, Mr Tyre has built a loyal customer base across the region. Emphasis has always been on delivering superb customer service and this is reflected in our Trustpilot review average, which currently stands at 4.9 / 5 stars from over 13,000 reviews. Such is our reputability that we rank top in the country for various vehicle related categories on Trustpilot. 

This strong reputation has led to the formation of several brand affiliations with major tyre brands, including Hankook, Goodyear, Michelin,Firestone, Cooper, Bridgestone – and many more. In fact since the 2010s Mr Tyre has been recognised under Hankook’s Masters depot scheme.

Looking to the future 

What will the next 50 years bring for Mr Tyre? We intend to continue expanding across Central England by opening several more branches and in turn generating jobs for both new and experienced technicians in the local communities.
